Thank you for being here. I just want you to know how much I appreciate your support. Today, we are going to dive into the most inspiring book on wealth ever written. It is also my favourite book on wealth. This review will consist of several parts. Let’s start looking into the success secrets of the ancients. We begin with these 4 truths. 1. Money is the medium by which earthly success is measured I want to stress out how it says earthly success. Money is not everything in this world. In life, there are a lot of aspects. Some of which are in health, wealth, love, happiness, spiritual, and mental. In things we believe in this world and after. Having said all that, we all know how important money is in our daily lives. How it helps us do more of what we love. Money may not be everything, but it is what we use to measure earthly success. Money is numbers. It’s measurable. It’s trackable. And therefore a good way to see progress in achieving our goals in this world. 2. Money makes possible the enjoyment of the best the earth affords There are times when the saying: “The best things in life are free” comes out. In more ways than one, that saying has truth behind it. But not always. Sometimes, we get caught up in life and we end up not being able to enjoy the simplest joys in life simply because we cannot afford them. Not because it is expensive, but because we do not have the luxury of time to spend on it. A lot of people are trapped in their jobs living paycheque to paycheque and do not have the luxury of being able to miss work. I’ve been there. I know how it is. That’s why, even though I am a workaholic, I have decided to be on this path. To be financially free. To be wealthy. To be free enough to enjoy doing the things I love whenever I feel like it. Another saying that comes to mind is: “You get what you pay for.” This saying really hits the mark on our topic. Most of the time, the best of anything offered in today’s world are expensive. Most times, we do get what we pay for. An economy vs a first class plane ticket on the same flight for example. Both tickets get you to the same destination. Same time. Same plane. Same destination. But the journey is different. 3. Money is plentiful for those who understand the simple laws that govern its acquisition Nearly one-third of lottery winners eventually declare bankruptcy. Lottery winners are more likely to declare bankruptcy within 3 to 5 years than the average person. This also happens to people who inherit huge amounts of money out of the blue. Why? Because they are not ready for it. They have not become a person capable of handling such responsibility. Fast success builds ego. Slow success builds character. In order for us to succeed, we must grow to become who we want to be. We must go through the journey. No shortcuts. We must have the character and capability we obtain through our journey. On this note, I remember a parable: When a man with money meets a man with experience, the man with experience obtains the money. While the man with the money obtains the experience. Therefore we must learn, understand, and put into action the simple laws that govern money and how to acquire it. 4. Money is governed today by the same laws which controlled it when prosperous men thronged the streets of Babylon, 6000 years ago Over the years, money has changed forms. Money is simply a way to measure value and exchange. To trade. It has gone through various changes like stones, weapons, food, spices, gold, and paper. It is continually changing. Even though money has changed names numerous times, the laws which controlled it have remained the same. The root ways to acquire value have not changed. These are the 4 ancient truths of money. As we move forward, we will read more into the truths as told in the book, The Richest Man In Babylon. I have learned a lot from just these 4 truths. And so will you. I appreciate you being here. Thank you. See you soon. Check out my favourite investment trading platform right here:

Getting some capital for your business idea can be daunting and seems like a big task for most people. I understand that because I’ve been there. I came to Canada with 100$ in my pocket given to me by family and friends from the Philippines. I worked my ass off and am here now today. Currently, I can’t teach you how to become a millionaire but someday I am confident that I will. What I can do though is teach you what I learned so far. Pay Yourself First, No Matter How Much You Earn If you’ve been following my blog for the past few months, you have probably noticed how much I push this. This has got to be the best advice I have ever learned and can ever give to anyone. Pay yourself first. No matter how much money you earn, pay yourself no less than 10%. Keep that, save it, and use it to invest in your business. If you haven’t gotten the book that I recommend for this, here’s the link: The Richest Man In Babylon Stick To It Because you are here reading this, I expect that you have already thought of or decided to improve your life and finances. Congratulations on that. Once you have started to save some money, KEEP AT IT. Do not let your urges to spend that money on other things like going out or buying new things stop you. Remember that you have goals. Remember why you’ve started doing this. Remember your dreams. Stick to it. Keep at it. Stack that money until you have enough to be a capital for your business. Keep Trying This was true for me and it could be true to some of you. I have failed countless times when I first started. I still fail on other new things that I try. But that’s when you are tested. That’s when you learn new things. That’s experience. Do not let failures stop you from reaching your goals. Problems and failures are a part of success. They are your stepping stones. Your personal teachers. That’s what will make you unique. Get Another Source of Income In my previous post, we calculated and proved that we have enough time to work at a second source of income. there are a lot of ways to do this, some easier than others. If you haven’t read it yet, here’s the link to that post: https://jessilserna.com/why-you-need-other-sources-of-income/ Sell Stuff Online You can always sell your old suff on Facebook Marketplace, LetGo, E-Bay, and some other local buy and sell websites You can also go to garage sales, buy things for cheap, and then resell them online You can also just get free stuff that people just want to get rid of. They post these online, you can get it from the for free, and then sell it. Get another job You can always get another job and work if that’s easier for you. Start an Online side business Start a YouTube channel Start blogging If you need to learn from a top-class millionaire blogger, join my mentor’s club here: ELITE BLOGGERS GUILD I also highly recommend that you get his book from amazon through here: Start Small Jeff Bezos, the richest man in history as of date and Founder of Amazon, just said in an interview that one of his secrets is that he starts small. And looking back at the history of most of the most successful people, they also started small. There is always the saying to “think big” but there are a lot of important things in starting small. You will learn It is no secret that starting a new venture or starting anything new will be hard. In business or in life, it is best not to lose. However, losing is part of the journey of every entrepreneur or investor. That is why it is best to start small, lose small, and learn big. Lose Small, Learn Big You do not want to lose everything in a blink of an eye. You worked hard for your idea. You worked hard for capital. You worked hard for this and you should feel like you need to protect it as much as you can. That is why it is best to start small. Even if you lose, you won’t lose a lot. Learn from your mistakes Knowing all this, you should be ready to face everything. You should be ready to look out for the lessons that are unfolding in front of you. They are stepping stones for you to grow and learn on your way to success. Congratulations on taking another step. Remember to keep moving forward. If you need some more help, I encourage you to reach out and message me on instagram @jessilserna or click here to follow me there.

Ordering my first shipment of samples to sell on Amazon direct from the manufacturer is exciting. Here I will share with you the details. I have tried different mediums to sell stuff: Waking up early to go to garage sales and sell them on e-bay Going on Sales to get items cheaper and sell them for a profit Buying things from LetGo or FB marketplace and re-sell them However, the profit margins have been close to nothing when I factor in my time and other resources. E-bay is a good idea but shipping costs in Canada are so expensive and eats more on your profits, leaving you with close to nothing. I have initially tried Amazon FBA a couple years back. For products, I would go to sales, search the entire store, and look for something I could sell on Amazon. There was some profits in there but looking for the products took so much time and buying them up front cost some real money to a hustling new entrepreneur. This time however, I have decided to take a different approach to it. I have decided to try it again and get my products from the manufacturers themselves. Going for the Source I’m sure you have heard of Alibaba. A great place look for manufacturers and getting the products cheaper. This will in the end get your profit margins higher. You can go to the website itself through your computer but I would recommend downloading the Alibaba app (please do not confuse it with Aliexpress as that has a different purpose). The reason why I prefer the app is because I like the communication to be fast. Choosing Your Manufacturer There is a lot of ways that you can choose from the hundreds of manufacturers on Alibaba. Here are some things I look at when I choose them: Being a Gold Plus Supplier Trade Assurance How fast they communicate How long they have been on Alibaba Sometimes I play around and try some that are not a Gold Plus Supplier but the other three are very important to me. Choosing Your Product I am at a point where I am fed up with thinking I should think things through too much. Whenever I do, I always end up not doing anything. This is called Analysis Paralysis. And so I have decided to do less thinking and more doing. Lately, doing this has actually made me so much more progress. Having said that, I just choose my products by looking around me. See what people use and what’s becoming a trend. Then, I just test it out. Buying Your First Products When I first talk to a new manufacturer, I just send them the basic “I’m interested” message that Alibaba already has a button for. I wait for them to get back to me and see who communicates more effectively; speed, efficiency, and if they can communicate properly. I then just have a conversation with them about the following things: Do you send samples? How much would it cost? The products, the shipping, etc. Play around with what you can get. I normally do not order just one sample. I normally order enough to actually test the product, test the market with it, and make a small profit from the deal when you deduct all your costs. A Conservative Profit Calculation I normally calculate things this way: [(number of products)x(cheapest market selling price – $1)] x 35% So if for example I order 50 items, and the market is selling them for $12.99 then I would calculate them this way. [50x(12.99-1)] x 0.35 [50×11.99] x 0.35 599.5 x 0.35 =$209.825 Now, did I make money from the transaction? If I did then I will go through with the deal. Why 35% Because there’s a lot of fees and costs involved and 35% is what I find the most conservative umbrella margin to see if I can make profit.

Life always has its ups and downs and somehow some people may have it better than others. The reality is, there is nothing new under the sun. No matter how unique a path or a product or a thought or anything may seem, they are just combinations or reimaginations of something that has already been done. Take the car for example, why do we say Horse Power? Because the car is an improvement of the horse as a means of transportation. The faster and better the car is, the more horse power it has. Everyone is the same Everyone. Every single one of us is the same. We are all born into this world with nothing. We all start at ground zero. Nobody is born holding a bar of gold, or a university degree, or the wisdom of a 40 year old. But why does it seem like some have it better than others? Because they were given to them. Does that matter? In a way, yes. But in a bigger way, no. You see, most of the richest people alive today are self made. That means they didn’t just simply inherit all their riches but they worked for it. A lot of studies point out that there are similarities among these successful people; one of which is the desire to succeed. With this, would it not be logical to think that they also share the same core lessons they had to learn at some point in their lives? I think so. I believe that life is a puzzle. And like every puzzle, you have to put the pieces together to get the result that you want. There’s a Solution for Every Problem Just like puzzles, problems are the same way. Each problem can be solved. Each may feel unique to you but when you look at it deeper shares the same concepts (and maybe solutions) as other problems that have already been solved. More than likely, someone somewhere has already solved a similar problem and have even published it somewhere. I completely believe that problems are trying to teach us a lesson; they help us grow; and that we have to learn that lesson before that problems goes away. Or maybe they don’t go away, it just seems like it because we can easily brush them off right away because we already know how to deal with them. I have noticed that problems I don’t completely know how to solve yet keep on coming back in my life. And looking back, I notice that the problems I had before seem to still be around but I don’t even notice them because I already know how to deal with them. Did I grow? Did I get better? I believe so. And so did you with yours. There will always be problems to help us grow. They will always be there. And we all have to learn how to solve our problems and grow. Always remember, YOU CAN DO THIS. If you find this post helpful to yourself or anyone you know, HIT THE SHARE BUTTON 🙂

They often say it’s not WHAT you know, it’s WHO you knows you. Creating long lasting and meaningful connections to get closer to reach your goals is an amazing thing to have in life. There are different ways to create connections and for different reasons. Depending on what your goals are and why you want to create these connections, you could do things differently. The ways I am going to share with you today are ways I find are the ones that worked for me over the years and have created meaningful relationships that I can consider the most worthwhile and productive in my life. Cold Calling Going to events Cold Calling Since I started my pursuit in building an empire, two of my most influential connections came from this method. I know it could be scary to pick up the phone and just call a random stranger out of the blue but, hey, what’s the worst thing I got from calling people? They hang up on me or say NO they don’t want to meet me. Which is nothing really. Going to Events Wherever you may be on this planet, there will always be events where people gather in events Before you call someone, you have to prepare 3 main things: 1. Your target 2. How you could help them (what’s in it for them) 3. A natural sounding script or an overview of what you want to talk about Your target I forgot who said, “If you don’t know where you are going, any road will take you there.” Similarly, If you don’t know what kind of people you want to meet, any type of connections (even the wrong ones) will seem to be a good progress. Being genuinely interested in people’s lives and having their best interest at heart is always the goal; but this time, we are looking for something more than that. How you could help them (What’s in it for them?) Someone famous once said: “Everyone does everything out of selfishness.” It doesn’t matter how selfless the action could be, at some level it made the person feel good. Imagine you met two new people today, everything about them are equal except what they bring to your life. One brings you nothing and offers you nothing, both in personal and business life but asks for your help all the time. The other offers you help and the potential to meet other new people. Who would you rather be continually be in touch with? Be that kind of person. It’s always a give and take relationship, give a lot and don’t expect anything in return but don’t hesitate to ask. A natural sounding script or an overview of what you want to talk about If you are new to this and are not sure how to start, it doesn’t hurt to have a planned script or outline as to what to say when you’re actually doing things. It also boils down to flirting, do it too mild and they might get bored; do it too aggressive and they might get scared; do it just right and you have a chance. CONCLUSION Do not be an asshole. Be genuinely and truly good in all your intentions when you meet people. People will feel if you have some kind of agenda behind your words and actions. DO NOT WORRY. The right people in your life will come, but first you have to look for them. If you find this post helpful to yourself or anyone you know, HIT THE SHARE BUTTON 🙂

FINDING FOCUS It’s so easy to be distracted. With all the distractions the world has to offer today, it is so easy to be sidetracked from your goals. Here are two quick fixes I use to refocus myself: DROP EVERYTHING BE ALONE DROP EVERYTHING Just stop. Drop everything and go somewhere. Relax, clear your mind, and do something you love and enjoy. When you feel stressed and find yourself getting distracted more and more, I always find it best to drop everything and just push my reset button. I go back to square one and just forget everything. This resets myself to a place where I am happy and relieved. Want to know the best part? I get to ask myself if I am happy with what I’m doing to achieve my goals. What am I doing? Am I happy? Is it going to be worth it? What’s next? What’s going to happen if I continue doing what I’m doing? What if I stop? These are the questions I ask myself on a regular basis and they have guided me a lot. BE ALONE This might not be for everyone. Some people prefer to be with others when they want to recharge. I do that too. I go out with friends and just have fun. But the goal is to find focus again. That’s why I would always find time to be alone. To be able to think. I think of the different perspectives of what is happening. Where am I now? Where do I want to be? What do I need to do to get there? REFOCUS I regularly do these two things in my life and have been able to grow constantly because of it. You have to remember that the universe will always be there to guide you. These questions have helped me realize a lot of things and in effect I have been able to become more aware of the things I do. Focus on yourself. Instead of gossiping about others, gossip to yourself about yourself. In order to grow, you must need to look into yourself and fill the gaps.
