Why You Should Save at least 10% of your Income For Yourself to Invest
Pay Yourself First
How many times have you heard this from Millionaires and Billionaires? Have you ever applied it to your life?
Who do you give the money you earn to? Is it to yourself? Or is it to others? To the bank for your mortgage; to the grocery store for your food; the mall for your clothes; get the point?
Pay yourself first not less than 10% of whatever you earn and use it to build yourself a better future. Don’t just save to save, save to invest.
An Ancient Lesson
In the book, “The Richest Man In Babylon”, the lessons from the ancient times can still be used today
“The sun that rose for your father is your father’s father is the sun that rises today and will be rising for years to come.”
Nothing is truly new in our world today. Everything that might seem new is just an innovation of something that has already been done. Would not it make sense that the lessons from before are still valid today? Therefore I hope you learn these lessons well.
An Army of Golden Slaves
Each penny you save is a soldier that will work for you non-stop. But just as a soldier follows orders and needs a general to lead it to victory, you need to grow and become someone who can lead them to victory. You are your soldiers general. Your soldiers results will depend on who you are.
Do Not Kill Your Soldiers
The money that you save shall become a soldier that you can use to build your empire. They shall earn for you and multiply. And their children will also work for you and multiply. However, do not forget to ALWAYS PAY YOURSELF FIRST. Pay no less than 10% of everything that you earn to yourself.
You have 90% of whatever you earn to lavish on yourself and spend on whatever you need or want. But do not kill your soldiers. Do not touch the 10% that you paid yourself.
I learned how to overcome this problem through this book: The Richest Man in Babylon. I really recommend it. You can buy it from amazon through this link or read a free copy here
